The Presales Engineer role is a broad one. First and foremost, presales engineers are the software experts; they learn the product suite inside and out, from architecture to implementation. As such, they have a wide range of responsibilities with the opportunity to work with a wide range of people. They could be brought onto a sales call to answer technical questions, asked to give a webinar, brought to a user group to chat with customers, or consulted in designing solutions for a customer’s business needs. To meet these challenges, an ideal candidate is someone well-rounded and driven to find the best solution. Problem-solving skills are a must, as are written and oral communication skills. A presales engineer should be approachable and happy to lend a hand. This is a challenging and diverse role, but a presales engineer will never be bored and will always be learning.

Responsibilities

Proof-of-Concept Demonstrations:

  • Speak with potential customers to learn about their business process needs
  • Build a solution using our tools to solve their business needs and help their processes run more efficiently
  • Present the solution to the customer and answer any technical questions
  • Communicate the solution such that people who are non-technical or unfamiliar with the software can fully comprehend it

Software Training:

  • Break down technical details into information that’s useful and tailored to the training audience
  • Help develop new training curriculum
  • Conduct training both in person and via the web

Sales Support:

  • Work with the sales team on new opportunities
  • Provide technical consulting via email, conference calls, and presentations
  • Write clear, concise answers to technical questions for proposals

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a STEM field
  • Ability to learn and understand software, hardware, networking, and database concepts
  • Experience with scripting, Javascipt, CSS, or programming is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to provide both written and verbal explanation of complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences; experience in teaching or tutoring is a plus
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills

  • Work directly with a regional sales manager to handle potential and active accounts
  • Work with customers to receive payments and renew contracts
  • Light office maintenance tasks

This full time opportunity requires the ability to learn new technologies as well as applying that knowledge to work with real world practical solutions for our broad range of clients. These solutions may be middleware that allows 2 or more different systems to communicate, a conversion tool that helps move information from one system to another, or an assistive software that helps automate a process. This position provides opportunity to work with the latest technologies. The work environment is casual and the core business hours are 9AM to 5PM.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle multiple tasks on daily basis
  • Understand, analyze, and document client technical specifications and business requirements
  • Work individually and as a part of a team to develop solutions that achieve various milestones for each client project
  • Participate in the development and delivery of solutions that directly impacts day to day activities of our clients
  • Pick up knowledge of tools required to complete the task successfully
  • Perform QA check for each solutions by performing various tests

Qualifications:

  • Firm knowledge of the following: ASP.net, .NET Framework , XML, OOP, MVC, REST/SOAP, SQL, OAuth
  • Professional development experience in either C#, Java, C++ or PHP
  • Proficient in relational database design
  • Strong academic background and must be in current pursuit of undergraduate or graduate degree in computer science or related fields
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and concepts
  • Strong initiative and ownership
  • Ability to understand complex queries and procedures (MS SQL is a plus)
  • Experience/certification in SharePoint / Office 365 is a plus

Ideal Candidates will possess the following:

  • 3-5 years of inside/outside sales experience
  • Exceptional drive and understanding of the level of work it takes to build and maintain a quota-busting pipeline.
  • A verifiable quota attainment track record
  • A positive outlook and a clear focus on closing profitable business
  • The primary task of our Software Sales Rep is selling our Laserfiche and SharePoint product suite. Those sales may take place via web conference or in-person. You’ll manage a dedicated book of prospects while working as a member of a sales team.

Specific Tasks Include:

  • Following Accelerated Information Systems multi-stage sales process to convert initial leads into customers.
  • Scheduling appointments to demo the solution.
  • Funnel management – you will manage all aspects of your pipeline from prospect to subscriber.
  • Advanced preparation for client presentations and demonstrations.
  • Maintaining communications with prospects to help progress the sales cycle.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and a results oriented drive.
  • Staying up to date on ongoing new product features and the impact it will have on prospects and clients.
  • Recording all sales activities and progress in CRM to effectively report back to the business.
  • Creating quotes and proposals; responding to RFPs.
  • Representing Accelerated Information Systems at conferences and trade shows.
  • Meeting sales deadline and revenue expectations.

Requirements:

  • The best sales executives are excellent communicators! The majority of your time will be spent selling to businesses over the phone, in person and/or online presentations; and following up with written communication. It’s crucial that you have top notch writing skills. Our fast paced environment requires strong multi-tasking skills and the ability to move quickly and efficiently.
  • 1-2 years of inside sales experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRM.
  • Prior successful and quantifiable experience in B2B sales (Financial Services, Higher Education, or Government experience a plus).
  • Ability to adapt, create and customize sales materials and presentations for clients. Comfort and familiarity with WebEx/GoToMeeting presentations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starters who take initiative and have a sense of urgency in everything they do
  • Have experience selling disruptive technology to senior executives
  • Already know how to effectively manage a long sales cycle to a successful close
  • Are creative in finding ways around sales barriers and converting opponents into champions
  • Think strategically about their client’s business and avoid selling on a feature/function basis
