Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District Receives 2020 Laserfiche Run Smarter® Award

HICKSVILLE, NEW YORK — Feb. 22, 2021 — Laserfiche — the leading SaaS provider of intelligent content management and business process automation — today announced the winners of the 2020 Laserfiche Run Smarter® Awards. Among the winners was Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, an Accelerated Information Systems customer, which received the award in the Business Impact category. The Run Smarter Awards were launched in 2005 to recognize organizations that use Laserfiche to improve productivity, innovate processes and achieve exceptional business results.

As America’s fourth-largest sewer district, Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District (MSD) provides wastewater and stormwater management service to over 1.3 million people in St. Louis City and County, Missouri. With a constituency this large, MSD needed a system it wouldn’t outgrow; one that could adapt and change with the needs of both its customers and its over 900 employees. The organization found that solution in Laserfiche.

“As in anything in life, it comes down to teamwork and working towards a common vision. Our Laserfiche partner and internal team did an outstanding job in collaboration and I offer a hearty congratulations on their 2020 Laserfiche Run Smarter Award.”

– John Daly, CIP – Information Governance Manager, Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, MSD’s Laserfiche Cloud system has allowed much of the office staff to work remotely on the same system they use in the office. Their public portal grants constituents instantaneous access to public documents without having to leave their homes, and allows for less on-site staffing to fulfill Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)/Sunshine requests. Having a seamless platform for staff and constituents has proven an invaluable resource during the shift to a remote-access world.

“The speed of business would have come to a halt
without Laserfiche.”

“John Daly has been a true champion for Laserfiche and Metropolitan Sewer District’s overall digital transformation,” said Zaheer Master, President of Accelerated Information Systems. “John and his team were able to scale a small on-premises Laserfiche installation in one department to an ever-expanding rollout organization-wide. As the premier Laserfiche Cloud Solution Provider, Accelerated is proud to work with a team that maximizes Laserfiche Cloud’s potential, and we are excited to continue working with MSD on their future projects.”

“Unprecedented circumstances in 2020 required organizations to accelerate digital transformation initiatives to adapt,” said Melissa Henley, Senior Director of Customer Experience at Laserfiche. “This year’s winners showed great capacity for creativity, innovation and adaptability, and proved that it’s possible to innovate and thrive no matter the circumstance. Congratulations to this year’s winners — we’re excited to honor their achievements during Empower 2021!”

The winners of the Laserfiche Run Smarter Awards will be celebrated virtually during the Laserfiche Empower 2021 conference. Click here to learn more about Laserfiche.
