Hicksville, New York—(March 6th, 2019) Laserfiche—a leading global provider of enterprise content management (ECM) software—recently announced the winners of the 2018 Laserfiche Run Smarter® Awards. Among the winners was Bergen Community College, an Accelerated Information Systems customer, who received the award for demonstrating excellence in innovation. Laserfiche launched the Run Smarter Awards in 2005 to honor organizations that take an innovative approach to managing content and automating processes to drive business value.
The winners of the Laserfiche Run Smarter® Awards were announced Feb. 7, 2019, during the Laserfiche Empower Conference in Long Beach, California. Eleven winners from across the globe, including the U.S., Hong Kong, and Mexico were selected. Bergen represents the only institution of higher education to receive a Run Smarter Award this year.
With more than 32,000 total students, Bergen Community College is the largest community college in New Jersey. Nishika Gupta, Manager of Documents and Records at Bergen Community College, has stated that the goal of introducing electronic forms has always been to improve their students’ experience.

Bergen Community College introduced automation to their electronic forms processes to enhance the student experience and increase operational efficiency. The college currently leverages 60 forms in key processes, including: grade change request, request for waiver, request for tutoring services, RSVP forms, change of curriculum, faculty tenure track, and Athletics Office processes. To ensure consistency across the campus, Bergen Community College has plans to migrate over 100 additional processes to Laserfiche Forms.
